Meet the Humans Behind Your Magazine

Torquil Dewar

Born in Edinburgh and trained in Newcastle, Torquil honed his craft in London, England, before making his way to Austin. Though he's still working on conquering his Texas allergies, Torquil brings decades of global design experience to every project. Outside of the studio, you'll find him with his daughter and their ever-growing collection of rescue animals.

Shelley Lai

Born in Taiwan, raised in Texas - Shelley has that perfect blend of precision and laid-back charm that makes everything better. She studied Advertising at UT Austin and learned how to really “Hook 'em!”. She then jumped into the deep-end designing for print food and lifestyle magazines, and digital music magazines (where everything has to look as good as it sounds).
