Lone Star Zine Fest 2025

The grass-root, punk, creative blood of Austin - all distilled into one weekend? The Lone Star Zine Fest is back again.
Begun in 2017, LSZF was started by Austin Zine Friends, a volunteer nonprofit formed by Austin librarians and zinesters as a DIY love letter to self-publishers, small presses, and brilliant minds. This fall, LSZF will have 100+ local exhibitors at the Blue Genie Art Bazaar (the building that’s home to the big indoor winter market where you’ve probably picked up a few Christmas gifts from Texas artisans).
Radical manifestos next to mushroom field guides… Queer projects next to hand-stapled comics… And lots of really cool analog design.
October 11 - 12, 2025, noon - 6pm.
6100 Airport Blvd. Free entry. All ages.
Some vendors to look forward to:
Monkeywrench Books
Austin’s volunteer-run bookstore, pushing toward something radically different.
Sherwood Forest Zine Library
a lending (physical and virtual) library of over 3000 zines in central Austin.
Passenger Pigeons Comics & More
Assorted art, essay, and poetry zines.
Check out the 2025 exhibitor list if you want more spoilers, but honestly, half the fun is stumbling onto a zine you didn’t know you needed.
