I had never heard of Rubbish FAMzine until a few weeks ago when, browsing magazines on the amazing site MagCulture, I came across an entry about the background of the project. To paraphrase that post, which you can read here, the magazine started as a family project, conceived and handmade by the Lin family. Each issue is a themed collection reflecting the family's shared interests, and is put together by hand at the family's home in Singapore. Only 300 copies are made! Rather than continue to pretend I'm not just copying from Jeremy's post, take a look at the images below showing the contents of the magazine (including ramen, chopsticks, a miniature box about music, stickers, and the box itself which is beautiful), and read Jeremy's post about the project here. Or take a look at some of the earlier issues, like this one which is sealed shut with a Casio digital watch! You can also find the Lin family members on Instagram.
